Blender add-on to load in the editor all the frames of a folder at their frame location. It is useful for when you have missing render files.
It should work for Blender 4. and 5. If you find issues or want to add features, let me know.
HOW TO USE:
- Install the add-on: Edit => Preferences => Add-ons => Add-on Settings => Install from disk => find the .py file
- File => New => Video Editing.
- In the "N" panel you will get the "ImageLoader" tab.
- Choose the directory of your files.
- Write "Keyword" if needed to filter for text inside the file name (Only files that contain that piece of text will be loaded).
- Select file extension type. Supported file types: ERX, PNG, JPG, JPEG.
- Choose the channel where you want the file sequence to be added. Note that if you have already a sequence there, it will just overlap it.
- Press "Load Image Sequences".
CONSIDERATIONS:
File sequence names should contain the frame number at the end.
Example: "MyBeautifulRender_2025.exr"
Let me know if you want more flexibility and I may be able to implement it.
You'll get a python script that can be installed as a Blender addon to load incomplete image sequences in the editor.
